MAVA is a boutique like no other. My brother Vadim and I decided to start our own online shopping experience, one with no boundaries. Our personal belief is that there is no perfect definition or formula for style. To truly possess style, you don't need to copy a pre-defined look, purchase only expensive pieces or anything of the sort. You need to use your individuality to make fashion your own. Our boutique does just that. It gives you the freedom to combine high-end pieces with vintage items and lower priced additions to create your own signature look. Buying trendy pieces is great but we are more about always being on the lookout for edgy new designers and looking more for originality than anything else.
Our love for fashion extends beyond just selling it. I personally love seeing what models, celebrities and everyday people are wearing. I find it interesting and inspiring at times as well. We’ll keep you updated on what the rest of the world is wearing, just for the fun of it! Our Celebrity Lookbook and Fashion Blog do just that. Strike a Pose is a contest we’ve developed for our fashionistas to participate in and win some free stuff. We all share a love of fashion and hope to make your experience on our site as fabulous as possible. There will be more fun features coming in the future for your enjoyment.
Now a little about us. I’ve been working in fashion since I was 16. I’ve tried each aspect-worked as a salesperson, buyer and PR intern. As I was completing the fashion PR major during my last year of college, I ultimately decided that I really wanted the freedom to create something of my own, and that's how shopMAVA was born. My brother, a finance and computer science graduate from NYU, decided that my passion was worth exploring and that his business expertise combined with my obsession with fashion might turn out to be a good mixture.
So here we are. The site is just a baby so stick by us as it grows, any suggestions or questions are ALWAYS welcome and I hope you enjoy our selection! And remember, as Yves Saint Laurent once stated, "Fashions fade, style is eternal."
Toodles,
Marina :O)
